結(jié)果狀語從句就是在復(fù)合句中表示主句動作所導(dǎo)致結(jié)果的狀語從句。用于引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句連詞也不多，主要的有so that, sothat, suchthat等。
1. 用so that引導(dǎo)：so that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句時的意思是結(jié)果所以。如：
Write out this word ten times so that you learn how to spell it.
把這個字抄寫十遍就能記住怎么拼寫了。
I went to the lecture early so that I got a good seat.
我去聽演講去得很早，所以找了個好座位。
2. 用sothat引導(dǎo)：sothat的意思是如此以至于，其中的 so 后接形容詞或副詞。如：
He was so angry that he couldnt speak.
他氣得話都說不出來。
He runs so fast that none of us can catch up with him.
他跑得很快，我們沒一個能追上他。
3. 用suchthat引導(dǎo)：suchthat的意思是如此以至于，其中的 such 后接名詞(名詞前通常有形容詞修飾)。如：
It gave him such a shock that his face turned white.
這使他那樣震驚，他臉都白了。
He is such a clever boy that we all like him.
這個孩子這樣聰明，我們都喜歡他。
