while 表示當(dāng)?shù)臅r(shí)候，與while 同義的詞還有when,as,as soon as.其中when 表示當(dāng)?shù)臅r(shí)候，句中的動作時(shí)間可以是一時(shí)間點(diǎn)，as 表示一邊一邊，as soon as 表示一就。例如：
I feel happy while I live here these days.
這些日子我住這兒感到很愉快。

老師進(jìn)來時(shí)，學(xué)生正在讀書。

他們一邊唱歌一邊工作。
