　　1 . attempt to do sth 試圖做某事。如：

　　The prisoner attemted to escape. 囚犯企圖逃跑。

　　Shelley attempted to get in touch with them. 雪萊企圖和他們?nèi)〉寐?lián)系。

　　She attempted to get up, but she couldnt. 她試圖爬起來(lái)，卻沒(méi)能成功。

　　He attempted to speak but was told to be quiet. 他試圖想發(fā)言，但卻沒(méi)讓他講話(huà)。

　　2 . attempt doing sth 試圖要做某事。如：

　　He attempted swimming across the river. 他試圖游過(guò)河去。

　　I attempted walking until I collapsed and fell down. 我想盡力走下去，后來(lái)支持不住而摔倒了。

　　注：以上兩類(lèi)句型有時(shí)可互換。如：

　　Dont attempt to do it by yourself.

　　=Dont attempt doing it by yourself.

　　不要企圖一個(gè)人去做這件事。
