They posted a YouTube video of them performing the phone pinch stunt and it spread like wildfire across various social networks, garnering over 300,000 views. Before long, the hashtag #extremephonepinching became a thing and people began tweeting videos and pictures of their own attempts.

But there have been a few accidents, like with Twitter user @samtolliver1 who posted pics of his broken phone with the caption “when extreme phone pinching goes wrong. And one person was dumb enough to hold their phone over a toilet using a long pair of tongs. Needless to say, it fell right in!
