　　老外最難懂的八個(gè)中國(guó)特色　　I heard recently that after giving birth, women aren t allowed to take a bathor shower. They shouldn t wash their hair for over a month. They shouldn t return to work for nearly 3 months. Very different in the West. I really don t know or understand the rationale or if it s just some kind of tradition. 　　我最近聽(tīng)說(shuō)，女性在生完孩子之后不可以洗澡淋浴，一個(gè)月不能洗頭，近三個(gè)月內(nèi)不能工作。這和西方完全不一樣。我真的不明白為什么要有這些規(guī)矩，或者這是某種傳統(tǒng) 　　In China, all water has to be boiled before you can drink it. I am not sure why the Chinese do it, but I have heard that it is very good for yourdigestive system. 　　在中國(guó)，所有的水只有燒開(kāi)了才能喝。我不明白為什么，但我聽(tīng)說(shuō)這對(duì)人的消化系統(tǒng)比較好。　　Drinking is a part of Chinese culture that I find weird. My husband was raised by his grandparents, and my in-laws were raised by their grandparents. The laws are similar to the West. What s amazing is, NO ONE FOLLOWS THESE LAWS IN CHINA! Seriously. The licensing process in China is far more difficult than in the West. However, it seems that in China, as soon as you do get the license, you forget everything that you learned and do whatever you want, whenever you, wherever you want, however you want. Parking on sidewalks, driving on the wrong side of the road, constantly honking the horn and many others. Most of the laws are exactly the opposite of what more than 50% of the drivers do in China. In the West, we have driving laws that are enforced. It is rare to see someone breaking the driving laws in the West. 　　我正在學(xué)駕駛。中國(guó)的交規(guī)和西方差不多。但神奇的是，中國(guó)根本沒(méi)人遵守交規(guī)!說(shuō)實(shí)話，中國(guó)的駕照考試要比西方難一百倍。但在中國(guó)，一旦拿到駕照，人們就把學(xué)的東西都忘了，無(wú)視各種規(guī)則，想怎么開(kāi)就怎么開(kāi)，比如把車停在人行道上，反道行駛，沒(méi)事按喇叭等等。中國(guó)超過(guò)50%的駕駛員都違反了交通規(guī)則。在西方，我們必須駕駛法規(guī)，很少看見(jiàn)有人違章。　　My wife tells me I ll have good luck when I sneeze. 　　我老婆跟我講，打噴嚏會(huì)走運(yùn)。　　I like this much, much more than hearing the tired, old God bless you common in the West. 　　西方人打噴嚏時(shí)人們老說(shuō)上天保佑你，我都聽(tīng)膩了，比起這個(gè)，中國(guó)這個(gè)說(shuō)法我簡(jiǎn)直太喜歡了。　　Cupping therapy.
