Cyber report cards

　　Next time,when you think about trying to hide your report card from your mom and dad,you’d better think twice!(仔細(xì)思考) Your parents probably already know it!

With the click of a mouse,parents in the Minnetonka School District in Minnesota can log on(登錄) to a website at home or work to look at their kids’ report cards,(點(diǎn)擊鼠標(biāo),家長在家里或工作中就可以登錄網(wǎng)站來查看自己孩子的成績單了)grade books and attendance records(考勤記錄) through an online report card and grading system offered by the school district. Students can also log on to the website,but through a different user name and password,so they can not change the password or keep their parents out.

Administrators(管理人員),teachers and parents in the school district are excited and have found it a useful tool. Dr Mark Larson,the Principal of Minnetonka Middle School East,thinks highly of the program. He said,“It’s so great. Both students and parents know what they are missing.” Sara White,a language arts teacher agrees,“I like the fact that the communication (交流)is improved between parents and students and parents can get immediate feedback(反饋) on how their kids are doing.”

Students in the district have had mixed reactions. (學(xué)生們對此反應(yīng)不一)Some students simply do not want their parents to know so much. Joe Dunn,a seventh grader from Minnetonka Middle School East,said,“It will have the opposite effect. If I don’t do well,then my parents can find out and I’ll get punished.” Of course,there are some other students who show their love of the program.
