Nowadays, we can learn from computers and we can also learn from Human teachers. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of these two kinds of teachers?
對于師從電腦還是師從真人教師學(xué)習(xí)的優(yōu)勢與劣勢問題，人們各有不同的看法。有的認(rèn)為師從電腦要比師從真人教師更為方便、經(jīng)濟(jì)，也有人認(rèn)為師從真人教師才能確保更佳的學(xué)習(xí)效果。從個(gè)人角度而言，我認(rèn)為這兩種方式都有其正面和負(fù)面，因此，兩者的結(jié)合才是更上策的作法。
Peoples views on the advantages and disadvantages of learning from computers and from human teachers vary from person to person. While some people believe that learning from computers is more convenient and more economical than learning from human teachers, there are others who hold that learning with the help of human teachers can ensure better learning effect. On a personal note, I argue that these two approaches both have positive and negative aspects and thereby a combination of these two approaches of learning is the best policy.
首先，如今伴隨著電腦科學(xué)的發(fā)展，我們幾乎在生活中的每一個(gè)方面都在使用電腦，特別是在教育方面。有人預(yù)計(jì)，有朝一日，電腦將取代真人教師。真的會(huì)如此嗎?當(dāng)然，有一點(diǎn)是真的，即：以這種方式學(xué)習(xí)既方便又經(jīng)濟(jì)。舉例說吧，我們無需離開家便可上線聽課，而且可以隨時(shí)叫停。我們還可以免費(fèi)在因特網(wǎng)上選修課程。但是，我們還必須承認(rèn)：如果我們線上聽課過程中有疑問和問題了，不會(huì)有誰能夠馬上幫助我們。要解決這個(gè)問題，我們所要做的也許就是發(fā)郵件，然后等待數(shù)日甚至數(shù)周才能等來答復(fù)。然而，我們?nèi)绻麕煆恼嫒私處?，那就不?huì)面對此類問題，因?yàn)樗麄兛梢择R上幫我們解脫出來。另外，真人教師還可以根據(jù)我們跟進(jìn)的情況調(diào)整教學(xué)進(jìn)度，也就是說，他們可以調(diào)整自己的教學(xué)方法來適合我們的實(shí)際水平。
First, nowadays with the development of computer science, we use computers almost in every aspect of our life, especially in education. Some people predict that one day computers will take the place of human teachers. Is that true? It is true that it is both convenient and economical to learn this way. For example, we can listen to online lectures without leaving our homes and can stop at any time we want. We can also take free courses on the Internet. But we also have to admit that if we have doubts and problems while we are listening to the on-line lecture, which is sure to happen from time to time, no one can help us out right away. To solve this problem, what we need to do is perhaps to send e-mails and then wait for the reply for days or even for weeks. However, we dont have to face such problems if we learn from human teachers as they can help us out all at once. Also, they can adjust their teaching process according to how well we can follow them, that is, they can adapt their teaching methods to suit our actual levels.
師從真人教師的確具有很多的優(yōu)勢，但另外一個(gè)事實(shí)是：我們不得不天天去學(xué)校上學(xué)，而要這么做，我們就要花費(fèi)很多的時(shí)間在學(xué)校和家之間奔波，從而蒙受交通擁堵和所有各種各樣的不便。
While learning from human teachers does possess many an advantage, it is also a fact that we will have to go to school everyday and in so doing, we will have to spend a lot of time traveling to and from schools, thus suffering from traffic jams and all the other kinds of inconveniences.
總體而言，電腦教師和真人教師自有其特殊和獨(dú)特的優(yōu)勢與劣勢，因此，我相信它們將在未來并存。這就等于是說我們最可取的作法就是將兩種學(xué)習(xí)方式結(jié)合起來。
As a whole, both computer teachers and human teachers have their advantages and disadvantages in their own special and unique way. Therefore, Im sure they will exist side by side in the future. This means that it is most advisable for us to combine these two ways of learning.
